Ten years

It's ten years today since I first posted a message to Usenet - and here it is! It's amazing how little the technology has changed since then - only two things look dated: Usenet has largely been replaced by web-based forums, and the UNIX talk protocol has been superceded by Instant Messaging (hence the 'machine address' in the footer).

Entirely unrelatedly, the front page of today's Daily Express rather caught my eye:

Count me in! If it wasn't for my business plans back in the UK I'm not at all sure we'd be going back. There's still six weeks left to go here, but already Jungwon and I are starting to dread our return.
